As Shepparton Villages appears in the media, articles will be posted to this page.
From 11.59pm February 26, 2021, we will be welcoming visitors back into our residential care homes after the recent snap lockdown.
The Department of Health and Human Services has again changed visitor directives for residential aged care homes.
In line with the Premier’s announcement on February 17, 2021, effective from 11.59pm on February 17, 2021, visits to aged care residential care facilities are currently restricted to one household visit per resident, per day. There are no restrictions on the number of visitors from the ONE household, however all visits must be conducted in resident rooms and adhere to density quotients.
Further to our correspondence of 12 February 2021 regarding lockdown of all Shepparton Villages facilities to visitors, we have since received further amendments from Victorian State Government’s Department of Health & Human Services to Circuit Breaker Lockdown Residential Aged Care visitor restrictions.
Shepparton Villages will go into full lockdown at all facilities effective immediately (Friday, February 12, 2021) as a precaution.
We have been informed that there has been a huge relaxation of directives around visiting residential aged care facilities. We are pleased this is the case for our residents and their families and friends, but we want to update you and ensure you are clear on our obligations as a Provider of Residential Aged Care Services, and your obligations as a resident and visitor to our Residential Care Services.
Shepparton Retirement Villages has closed its facilities to visitors in light of recent outbreaks in New South Wales and Victoria.
We wanted to touch base with you all in light of recent changes to restrictions in aged care as a result of the unfolding COVID-19 status across Victoria.
Due to the current unfolding emerging status of COVID-19 cases in the community, Shepparton Villages is closing facilities to ALL visitors as a precaution. This decision has been made to protect the health and welfare of residents, staff and all other people associated with Shepparton Villages.
Further easing of restrictions in Victoria over the weekend is good news for all in the lead up to Christmas.
