In accordance with the easing of restrictions for the greater Shepparton region, we have reviewed the visitor directives for Residential Aged Care homes in regional centres. Please note, there are still strict restrictions applying to residential care homes in regional centres.
As of 11.59pm tonight (September 16) visitors will only be permitted into residential care homes on the following basis:
If you believe you meet the criteria listed above, you can make a booking via Zipline but please be advised, ONLY two people can visit per day (unless in end of life circumstances), divided in to two single visitors a day, or one visit of two people. There is no restriction on time spent visiting.
Those unable to access Zipline can call the following number between 10am and 4pm to make a booking, noting visitor hours are from 10am to 7pm daily. Where possible please avoid visiting during mealtimes as visitors are not permitted in the dining areas
We also respectfully ask you to co-ordinate visits with your family to avoid disappointment as our booking process will only allow 2 people per day as per directives.
There are exemptions for end-of-life purposes that can be discussed with the Care Facility.
Residents are able to leave care facilities for essential purposes and outings in line with current regional Victoria directives. COVID precautions must be adhered to whilst in the community.
As is always the case, should the directives change, we will inform you as soon as possible.
All other general inquires can be made directly with the Care Manager at your facility.
