In accordance with the latest state government restrictions for visiting aged care facilities in regional Victoria, no visitors are permitted into Shepparton Villages residential care facilities unless there are exceptional circumstances as detailed below:
In the case of visitors who are visiting a care facility to provide end-of-life support to a resident, no more than two visitors are permitted per resident at any one time. This limit does not include babies under 12 months and dependants, where they cannot be left alone or care arranged.
There is no limit on the number of visitors per day to a resident at end-of-life, however, only two visitors are permitted at any one time.
Families are respectfully asked to liaise with the Care Manager at their facility during the hours of 8.30am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, to make appropriate arrangements in this instance.
Emergency end of life visits and arrangements outside of these times can be co-ordinated and discussed with the After Hours Coordinator on 0457 320 828. This phone will not be active during office hours and is only for emergency after hours inquiries.
Please note, all other inquiries should be directed to the Care Manager during office hours.
We appreciate this is difficult, but we know you will understand the need to enforce the restrictions to keep residents, staff and the community safe.
The directives are effective until further notice, but as we know, things can change quickly and we will advise accordingly should there be any changes to directives.
It is important to keep in touch with your loved ones during this time, and we urge you to utilise phone calls, and Zoom calls where you can. Please inquire with your Care Manager who will assist in helping you and your loved one remain connected where possible.
Our care and lifestyle staff will provide activities and ongoing support to all our residents and we want you to know that your loved one will be cared for during this time.
Thank you for your understanding, and please stay safe.
