In accordance with current State Government regulations, no visitors will be permitted into Shepparton Villages residential care facilities, except for end-of-life reasons.
Families are respectfully asked to liaise with the Care Manager at their facility during the hours of 8.30am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday, to make appropriate arrangements in this instance.
Emergency end of life visits and arrangements outside of these times can be co-ordinated and discussed with the After Hours Coordinator, call (03) 58 320 800 and follow the prompts. This phone will not be active during office hours and is only for emergency after hours inquiries.
Please note, all other inquiries should be directed to the Care Manager during office hours.
Aged care residents are free to leave the facility they live in just as any Victorian is able to leave their home.
When residents leave the facility, they should be reminded that they must comply with the same public health directions that all Victorians are required to comply with.
We appreciate this is difficult, but we know you will understand the need to enforce the restrictions to keep residents, staff and the community safe.
The directives are effective until further notice at this stage, but as we know, things can change quickly and we will advise accordingly should there be any changes to directives.
It is important to keep in touch with your loved ones during this time, and we urge you to utilise phone calls and Zoom calls where you can. Please inquire with your Care Manager who will assist in helping you and your loved one remain connected where possible.
Our care and lifestyle staff will provide activities and ongoing support to all our residents and we want you to know that your loved one will be cared for during this time.
Thank you for your understanding, and please stay safe.
