Shepparton Villages

Shepparton Villages has enjoyed the wonderful support of the community in raising money for two much needed buses. The purchase of these two buses will enable us to have an appropriate, safe and comfortable bus at each of our three villages and will make a positive contribution to our care programmes and support our Mission to enrich the lives of people in our care. Santa‘s many helpers did a wonderful job during our Christmas Appeal. Proceeds from the 2009 Christmas Appeal brought us closer to our target for our ‘Bus appeal’, contributing a further $20,638.50.

Kicking up of heels down by the riverside at Vicki and Neil Glazners’ RiverSounds’ Picnic on the River on saturday 27th March 2010 helped 110 patrons ease the stress of daily life and raise almost $8,000 for Shepparton Villages and Fairley Leadership. Shepparton Mayor, Geoff Dobson, with his wife Prue joined the merry-makers and Mr Dobson became an auctioneer once more, taking bids for a print of the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The silent auction added $4,680 to the pool. Guests arrived to the skirl of bagpiper Doug Boyle, followed with sweet music sung and played by Chris Walker, Andy Smith, Joel Muston & Tom Tuena.
