Pre-Tax Appeal 2011
New bowling green for our Residents — approx $140,000
To end your financial year with a tax break we are asking you to contribute to build a three rink, Tiger Turf, low maintenance, all-weather, non-abrasive, UV stabilised and soft underfoot bowling-green for all Shepparton Villages' residents.
The three-rink bowling green will total $140,000, including installation, and will be situated on the east side of the Tarcoola Village activities Centre, which may be adapted later, to also be used as a Club House and comfortable observation point for resident supporters of the bowlers.
This project is planned as a two year enterprise, in the same manner as the recent and successful Bus appeals and this is where your wonderful donations to the past and successful, new buses appeal will really come into their own. We plan to bus teams of bowlers and bevies of learner bowlers from each Village on a regular basis and maybe we will even get up a tournament, so that team supporters may also join in and barrack for their 'home Village' in friendly competition.
We plan to add outdoor shaded areas and seating at a later date.
The bowling green will help us achieve our very important goal of keeping residents ft, healthy and socially interactive.
